Urban Salon is a contemporary, modular system for enhancing public spaces. It consists of an innovative collection of furniture pieces, blending functionality with unique design. The core concept behind the project is modularity, allowing for endless configuration possibilities in any public setting.

History.

The Urban Salon initiative was designed explicitly for the revitalization of Kielce's town square. Its primary goal was to incorporate urban greenery into an area that was formerly lacking in vegetation, and to create a space where people feel welcome. A hub for gathering, mingling, and unwinding. Holding specialized public consultations enabled us to align the broad desires of Kielce's populace with precise implementation strategies. This led to the creation of a contemporary public area, blending lush greenery with state-of-the-art urban furniture technology.

Functions.

The primary function of the City Salon is to gather, connect, and engage the community members in a contemporary area that's open to natural elements. Thus, the design of every component within the Salon closely aligns with a variety of plants. The collection of planters not only serves a decorative purpose but also structures the arrangement of trees within the area, and forms the foundation for contemporary urban seating and other Salon components. The coordinated design of these urban furniture pieces fosters intimate yet discrete interactions among users, enabling them to relax, engage in recreational activities, and interact with nature at a city center location previously barren of greenery.

Functionality...

Urban Salon is a prime example of functional design. Should there be a need to free up space, this fixture can be swiftly relocated. The pots feature concealed compartments that accommodate a standard pallet, enabling easy movement via forklift or pallet jack. The components are transported using a crane/hds. Internally, the pots are equipped with specialized anchors to secure tree roots, which also facilitate lifting the entire setup. Once positioned, the outer stainless steel casing is deployed to safeguard the furnishings against any movement. Urban Salon designs do not demand any foundational work, making them versatile for use in all kinds of public environments.

Versatility...

The Urban Salon is versatile enough to fit any public area. It's particularly suited for fully developed locales where alterations to the ground layout aren't feasible. Starting with just one pot, you can add up to four pieces of city furniture. Thanks to its modular design, the Urban Salon can expand almost endlessly. The only constraint is the available space. Each season offers the opportunity to enhance the arrangement by adding more urban furniture pieces.
